Day 01 / Arrive Chennai
Upon arrival at Chennai transfer to your hotel. Afternoon proceed on a sightseeing tour of the city visiting the Kapaleshwar Temple, Fort St. George and the Government Museum. The rest of the evening is at leisure OR optionally you may visit 'Dakshinchitra'. Overnight at hotel.

Day 02 / Chennai - Trichy
Transfer to railway station to depart for Trichy ( 319 kms/ 8 hrs), the citadel of the Chola Dynasty. On arrival you will be transferred to your hotel. You later proceed on a sightseeing tour visiting the Rock Fort and the mystic Srirangam Island, a living example of the ancient temple towns of the South. Overnight at hotel.

Day 03 / Trichy - Tanjore - Trichy
Proceed on a full day excursion to Tanjore (55 kms / 1.5 hrs) the ancient capital of Tamilnadu.
Visit the famous Brihadeshwara Temple built in 10th Century and the Saraswati Mahal Library which houses palm leaf & paper manuscripts. Overnight at hotel.

Day 04 / Trichy - Madurai
This morning you will drive to Madurai (142 kms / 2-3 hrs) Southern India's oldest city with a recorded history going back to the 6th century B.C. This afternoon you will visit the ruins of the Tirumal Nayak Palace and world famous Meenakshi Temple, the most perfect example of
Dravidian architecture. Later this evening you may revisit the Temple for the evening Aarti ceremony. Overnight at hotel.

Day 05 / Madurai
Day at leisure OR you may take an optional full day excursion to Rameshwaram. Overnight at hotel.

Day 06 / Depart Madurai
Transfer to the airport / railway station.
