Morning - Climb the 5th century Rock Fortress of Sigiriya famed for its beautiful frescoes and water fountains. Drive to Kandy. En route, visit a Batik factory and experience the intricate art of traditional hand-made Batiks. Also visit a spice garden. Afternoon - Tour of the city and surrounding areas of Kandy including visit to an arts & crafts center, a gem museum, a lapidary and the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic of the Buddha. Morning - Visit the Royal Botanical Gardens which were first built as a pleasure garden by a Sinhala king and later expanded by the British. They are an expansive 147 acres and have an amazing variety of trees, plants and flowers. Drive to the city of Colombo. En route visit the Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage where around 70 orphaned elephants are fed and looked after by the wild life authorities. Afternoon – Tour of the teeming, colorful and fascinating city of Colombo. Visit historic and interesting landmarks of Colombo including the exciting Pettah bazaar area, temples and mosques, town hall, residential area of Cinnamon Gardens, Independence Square, Old Parliament and the seafront at Galle Face Green.
