Afternoon - Visit 4th century Rock Cave Temple of Dambulla, which is the largest area of cave paintings in the world. Visit Polonnaruwa, the second capital, from the 10th to 12th century AD. See the ruins of the Royal Palace, Gal Vihara (three splendid statues of Buddha in upright, sedentary and recumbent postures carved out of one rock). Afternoon – Excursion to Anuradhapura first capital of Sri Lanka and cradle of Buddhism.Visit the secret city, the sapling of the Bo tree under which the Lord Buddha received enlightment and today this tree is recorded as the oldest tree. Morning - Climb the 5th century Rock Fortress of Sigiriya famed for its beautiful frescoes and water fountains. Drive to Kandy. En route, visit a Batik factory and experience the intricate art of traditional hand-made Batiks. Also visit a spice garden. Afternoon - Tour of the city and surrounding areas of Kandy

Morning - Visit the Royal Botanical Gardens which were first built as a pleasure garden by a Sinhala king and later expanded by the British. They are an expansive 147 acres and have an amazing variety of trees, plants and flowers. Afternoon – Drive to Nuwara Eliya, the colonial British retreat famous for its quaint cottages and world renowned tea plantations. You will enjoy the scenic beauty of the hill country,

Drive along the mountain descent to the city of Colombo. En route stop at Kithulgala for lunch and a little rest. Afternoon – Tour of the teeming, colorful and fascinating city of Colombo. Visit historic and interesting landmarks of Colombo including the exciting Pettah bazaar area, temples and mosques, town hall, residential area of Cinnamon Gardens, Independence Square, Old Parliament and the seafront at Galle Face Green.
