The Rotorua Museum Tour

The Rotorua Museum of Art and History is a museum and art gallery located in Rotorua, New Zealand. The museum is housed in the old building bathhouse in the spa town of Rotorua which is located in the Government Gardens. Rotorua Museum opened in the south wing of the bathhouse in 1969, the art gallery open in Rotorua in the north wing in 1977. In 1988, the museum and gallery is a combination of vast collection of objects to form the Rotorua Museum of Art and History. Rotorua District Council was managed the museum.

Here, one will find inclusive collection of art, photography, social history, culture and objects Taonga. Better known as The Bath House, this impressive museum is a large Tudor-style building in the Government Gardens. It was opened to the public in 1908 with an elegant spa retreat in the previous shower. It provides a mesmerizing vision into some unconventional therapies once practiced here, including "electric bath" and President Bergonié.


Also this place is treasured with a vast collection of Taonga of Te Arawa, with a cut of the wood, linen weaving and jade. Other exhibitions in the 28 stories of WWII Maori Battalion, the prestigious military unit made up of local people Arawa that runs every 30 minutes to 09:30.
