| Munnar :-One of the most popular hill stations in India, Munnar (Kerala) is situated at the confluence of three mountain streams - Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala. Located at 1600 M above sea level, this was once the summer resort of the erstwhile British Government in South India. Sprawling tea plantations, picture book towns, winding lanes, trekking and holiday facilities make Munnar a unique experience. Munnar is essentially a tea town. The tea plantations have now been taken over by the Tata Tea Company. The visitor is greeted with miles and miles of unending tea plantations on entry into Munnar. Among the exotic flora found in the forests and grasslands here is the Neelakurinji a flower which bathes the hills in blue colour once every twelve years. |

Day 01 /Kovalam
Arrive at Trivandrum Airport and transfer to Kovalam (190 Kms / 4.5 Hrs) & check into Hotel. Rest of the day free at leisure on the beach at Kovalam. Overnight stay at Hotel, Kovalam.
Day 02/ Kovalam-Trivandrum-Kovalam
In the morning proceed for the sightseeing of Trivandrum covering The Napier Museum, Kuthiramalika Museum, Sri Padmanabha Temple. Afternoon relax on the famous Kovalam Beach, Night stay in Kovalam.
Day 03 /Kovalam - Kumarakom
In the morning check out from Hotel and drive to Kumarakom (175 Kms / 5 Hrs). On arrival at Kumarakom visit the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary and later check in at hotel in Kumarakom. In the evening ,relax near the beautiful Vembanadu Lake, or go for Sun set cruise (optional). Night stay in Kumarakom
Day 04/ Houseboat
Morning relax at resort .Afternoon board on to the houseboat. Rest of the day free at leisure on the House Boat. Sit back and relax while the boat cruises through the narrow serene backwater canals of Kumarakom & Alleppey & Have Lunch, Evening Tea/ Coffee with snacks, dinner .Night stay on House Boat.
Day 05 /Houseboat- Periyar
Morning enjoy the breakfast in Houseboat cruise through backwater.Then check out from houseboat and proceed to Thekkady (120 Kms / 4 Hrs) & check into Hotel.Afternoon Go for a spice plantation Tour (Optional) & later proceed for boating in the Periyar lake to view the wildlife at the Periyar tiger reserve (Optional).Night stay in Thekkady.
Day 6 /Periyar -Munnar
Morning check out from the hotel & drive to Munnar (140 Kms / 04 Hrs) Enroute visiting beautiful western ghats , beautiful teagardens , cardamom, pepper and other spice plantation . Arrive Munnar & check into Hotel. Rest of the day free at Leisure. Night stay in Munnar.
Day 07/ Munnar
Morning proceed for the sightseeing of Munnar - covering - Mattupetty Lake & Dam, Echo Point, Kundale Lake, Blossom Garden, Rajamalai, Eravikulam Wildlife sanctuary & Tea Plantation. Night stay in Munnar.
Day 08 /Departure
Morning free at leisure. Later check out from Hotel and transfer to Cochin Airport or Railway station ( 140Km/4 Hrs) for your onward destination. |
