Set in the verdant Girwa valley, surrounded by the Aravallis hills, Rang Niwas Palace was built in the late18th century by Maharaja Sajjan Singh. In the late 1920's, Maharana Fateh Singhji added upper floors of the Palace and converted it into a guesthouse for the rulers of neighboring states. Later, Maharana Bhagwat Singh gifted the Palace to his youngest brother Maharaj Arjun Singh in 1955 who used it as a private residence. Finally, the Palace was converted into a Hotel in 1975.
