| Pangot is small village 15 kilometers from Nainital, the drive takes only 25 minutes to get there. As you reach village Pangot, you are guided to Jungle Lore Birding Lodge by the local people. A 5-minute walk down to the lodge rewards you with common stonechat, dark-throated thrush, slaty-headed parakeet, streaked-laughing thrush, red-billed blue magpie, yellow-breasted green finch, russet sparrow etc. |

Location
Located in the northwestern forest range of Nainital is the village of Pangot. Surrounded by thick oak and rhododendron forest on three sides this lodge, it is a typical Kumaoni hill settlement with about 15 families. One can still observe the age old lifestyle of the hill folk in Pangot.
Accommodation
The lodge has 4 cottages with attached toilets with running hot & cold water. One of the four cottages is a living room that serves the purpose of a dining hall. The other three cottages are independent bedrooms with twin beds, two of them having an attic each that can accommodate two additional persons in each attic. The main cottage and one other cottage have fireplaces. Heaters are provided in each cottage in winter. You have the options of large tent for people who enjoy camping with independent toilet and bathroom.
Cuisine
To satisfy your appetite cooks specializing in Indian & western cuisine churn out the unexpected and special care is taken in hygienic preparation of all meals. A few things are grown organically on our land.
