| The orange country retreat is arguably the best place to stay among Mirik Hotels. Perched on a hill top, the resort provides a birds view of the Mirik Lake and the surroundings. On a clear day the resort provides the best view of the Kunchenjunga massif from anywhere in Mirik. The resort was originally built DGHC (Darjeeling Gorkha Hill Council) and has been privatized only recently. |

Accomodation:
In this hotel there are 12 well-designed stone cottages and all of them are situated on the top of a hill. There is a traditional touch in the hotel. The rooms of Orange Country Retreat do not possess televisions and telephones so that the tourist can feel the detachment from the outside world.
Restaurant:
The restaurant of Orange Country Retreat is Glenarys. A large collection of Indian, Chinese and Continental food of best quality is available here.
