Planter's Camp is designed for Eco Adventure tourists and is not a conventional resort. The camp is designed for maximum staying comfort and with all facilities but the essence has been to touch the natural space as little as possible. Please check with the Camp managers in case you are bringing little children or anyone who has problems in dealing with short hill trails.

Activities
COFFEE PLANTATIONS TOUR
A walk through the Coffee Plantation is an experience in itself. A coffee plantation usually combines coffee with pepper, cardamom, oranges and a variety of species of plants.

Take a walk in some of the best maintained plantations. Have a cup of coffee with a planter and get a feel of the lives of Coorg’s finest planters. Maybe, if they make a friend of you, you might even get to take a peek at their fascinating homes.

MOUNTAIN TRAIL
Take a trek around the Kirudale Estate through some of the most scenic spots in Coorg. The third highest peak of Coorg, Kotebetta stands tall across the valley. Kotebetta has become a destination for avid trekkers. The camp organises treks on special request at a nominal charge. There are water cascades, mountain springs, natural rock slides and a rivulet at the base of the camp. Please make a request at the time of booking if you wish to trek at Kotebetta.

NATURE WALK THROUGH PRIMEVAL FORESTS
The biodiversity of a large part of the Kodagu region is dependent on the preservation of the Devarakadu or forest groves which have remained untouched by human hand for centuries. While the Devarakadu are getting endangered, a walk through the primeval forests will bring home the reasons why we need to protect our forests.

Guidelines

WHAT TO WEAR
Cotton clothes are best. Long sleeved shirts and trousers are ideal as you can tramp through virgin untouched forests. Having a pair of shorts would also be good to cool your legs in the river at the bottom of the hill. Carry proper sports shoes to help you handle the terrain.

THINGS TO CARRY
Carry a torch, proper shoes, insect repellant creams, moisturiser, glasses and a cap to make your walk around the forest and plantations comfortable. Carry a basic first aid kit including dettol and band aid.

CAMP RULES
The camp is an Eco Camp. Please do not litter. Please do not smoke inside your tent. Please do not light a fire either in the tent or in the forest. Please do not drop trash during your walks. Dispose off all your waste in clearly marked dustbins. Liquor is not served. If you choose to carry your liquor, please ensure that you consume it without causing offence. Do not play loud music.
Please be very careful on the paths. The forest has a combination of rocks and slides and it is best to stick to the paths. Please ensure that children do not go off by themselves.
