The Nawabganj bird sanctuary is a spectacular wildlife spread, which is an ideal getaway for the aspiring photographers and nature lovers. This bird sanctuary is a home to various migratory birds in addition to the resident water birds.
The bird sanctuary is a marshland with a shallow lake nestled amidst a forest. The sanctuary is a host to a number of woodpeckers, coots, parakeets, shovellers, pochards, purple moorhen and the common teal. The population of these birds fills up the atmosphere with a constant rhyme and cry of their songs!
Located on the National Highway, about 45 km from both Kanpur and Lucknow, the sanctuary is well connected by bus transport.
