Jajmau, a place famous from ancient times, was earlier known as Siddhapuri. A proof of historical events of the past, this mound has brought into existence ancient relics dating back to 1600 AD.
The mound of Jajmau used to be the fort of the Hindu King Yayati during the ancient past. Two temples present in Jajmau, the Siddhnath and Siddha Devi temples reflect the historical times.
Also worth visiting is the mausoleum of the Sufi saint Makhdam Shah Ala-ul-Haq, erected by Firoz Shah Tughlaq in 1358. Another ancient structure of importance is the mosque built in 1679 by Kulich Khan.
