Gurudwara Sis Ganj Travel

The Gurudwara Sis Ganj has been built on the same site where the Mughal invaders beheaded the Sikh Guru Tegh Bahadur in 1675 for declining to adopt Islam religion. Gurdwara Sis Ganj was constructed to honor the martyrdom of this religious leader. A heartbreaking tale is related to Guru Tegh Bahadur's death.

A devotee named Baba Baghel Singh discovered this place only after a century and then built a Gurdwara in this place. Within the premises, one can see the tree under which the Guru was martyred and the well. It is also believed that the innermost platform of this shrine is in fact the oldest constitution of Chakk Nanaki, on which Guruji's head was placed after he was beheaded.
