A 17th century shrine, dedicated to lord Ram, Sree Seetharamachandra Swamy Temple in Khammam is built by Gopanna. A unique pilgrimage centre with a great tradition, this sacred shrine is one among the busiest temples in the locality. The fabulously carved temple walls depicts all incarnations and images of Lord Vishnu. The chief deity, Ram is found with a bow and conch thereby creates the impression of both Vishnu and Ram at the same time. Another characteristic attribute of this holy place is that Sita is placed on Ram's lap. Ushnagundam, which is believed to be the spot from where, Lakshman had fetched hot water for Sita, situates adjacent to this temple.

Prasadam offerd after the morning poojas would suffice a good and tasty breakfast. The temple also holds an exquisite shop outside the temple premises, which sells copper coins, posters showing pictures of Sri Ram, Laxman, and Sita,, silver statues, fridge-magnates, small collection of books, and small boxes of pearls.

During Sreeramanavami festival in the month of March-April, the temple premises would be crowded with devotees. This festival commemorates the holy matrimony of Ram and Sita, which turns the serene atmosphere of the temple in to a place of pomp and gaiety. Other significant fiestas of this shrine include Kartik Purnima and Vaikunta Ekadasi.
