Anamalai climate is quite moderate. Summer seasons during March to May are bit hot with maximum temperature lies between 35°C to 40°C. The average temperature during winters (December - February) are about 20°C, with minimum not crossing down 15°C. Maximum Rainfalls are during October to December. South west and north east monsoons hit the area by June and extends up to September.

A major religious festival ‘Pongal’ is celebrated during January 12-15, with much enthusiasm. As Anamalai is famous for wild life sanctuary and the tourists to this place are nature lovers like to visit the sanctuary, avoid visit during summer months in which Sanctuary may be closed.

Best season to visit is June to March, tourists may avoid heavy rainy days
