Almora has a pleasant climate all through the year except for the winter months December to February during which the weather is chilly. Maximum temperature observed during summers is about 30°C and the minimum temperature during winters is nearly 4°C. The climate is pleasant is evident by the fact that the annual average maximum temperature is around 23°C and average minimum temperature is about 11.5°C.

Apart from religious festivals, Almora is renowned for many fairs like Doonagiri Mela which is conducted during the festival of Navarathri in October.

Best season is March to June and September to November avoiding winter and monsoon months.
